Being The Change Changes The Being

I’m a trauma‑informed RYT‑500 yoga teacher and wellness coach who believes yoga belongs to every body, every story, every season of life. For nearly a decade, I’ve taught accessible, inclusive classes that welcome all people and offer particular care to LGBTQ+ students, aging bodies, and anyone seeking movement that feels like safety, curiosity, and home. I specialize in therapeutic yoga for menopause and menopause coaching, guiding people through this powerful transition with steadiness, reverence, and a deep trust in the body’s unfolding. My thirty years as an RN support my work with a profound respect for the body’s wisdom — its memory, its resilience, and the quiet truths it carries through joy, illness, change, and becoming.

As a proud Gen X’er, I bring grounded humor, resilience, and a willingness to lean into the edge — that place where life stays real, playful, adventurous, and beautifully unpolished. At the heart of all my work is the belief that every person deserves a safe, affirming space to move, to rest, to imagine, and to reclaim their well‑being on their own terms.

I live in the DMV with my fiancé, our two dogs, and our ginger cat, in a home where music is always playing — vinyl spinning, playlists evolving, melodies weaving through the kitchen as we cook. I love to bake, explore new recipes, and wander through the endless world of books, cookbooks, and audiobooks. I love words and weaving them into short stories and reflections on my own journey in the many journals I’ve filled. I’ve kept a journal since I was eight, and I often make my own journal cover art to reflect who I am.

My favorite cities are Baltimore, Seattle, and Los Angeles, though my heart settles easily in a quiet mountain cabin. I love the Hirshhorn, the gilded intimacy of Gustav Klimt, the open‑sky honesty of John Denver, and the raw pulse of The Smiths and Nirvana.

My favorite colors are Dark Forest — the dark greens and black shadows of the woods; Malibu Sunset — the warm glow of sky bouncing off hues of ocean blue; and Moon Carrot — bright celestial light captured in shades of orange and ginger. These are hues that inspire creativity, movement, and possibility.

I spend my time centered on yoga and with the people who make my world feel whole. My favorite word is community. I love exploring new hobbies, new recipes, and new music. And as a devoted pluviophile, I will stop everything to savor a good storm — the way the sky opens, the air shifts, and the world briefly remembers how to breathe.
